🇺🇸 Southern California Garden Grove | SteelCraft Container Market 🚛

After enjoying Korean food in Garden Grove, we took a stroll to the SteelCraft container market. Over the past decade, container markets have become hugely popular in Seoul, Korea—from Common Ground in Konkuk University (built in 2015) to smaller setups in Seoul Forest and Hongdae (since 2017). These spaces reinvent American-style markets, bringing new energy to urban areas and boosting local tourism. 🏙️🇰🇷💥 Southern California has its own version: SteelCraft! This brand specializes in repurposing shipping containers into vibrant dining and community hubs, blending food, art performances, leisure activities, and social experiences. 🎭🍔🤝 The first SteelCraft opened in Long Beach in 2017 as a landmark gathering spot combining food, art, and community events. Later expansions included Bellflower (2019) and Garden Grove (2021). 📍📅 We visited on a weekday afternoon—it was pretty quiet, with just a few students hanging out after class. The location makes sense though: it’s close to Historic Main Street, Community Center Park (currently under renovation 🚧), Coastline Community College, and Garden Grove High School, so it’s situated in a relatively busy part of town. 🏫🍂 The seating area is spacious and free to use! This SteelCraft location features a mix of food and retail options: Korean, Japanese, and Mexican eateries, drink stands, a beer garden 🍻, a handmade candle shop 🕯️, and clothing boutiques. I originally wanted to try the popular Dark Horse Coffee Roasters ☕, but it turns out they’ve permanently closed—what a bummer! 😢 The space is also available for event rentals and includes a small stage for performances. I imagine it gets much livelier on weekends or during evening events! But honestly, compared to the bustling container markets in Seoul, this one felt a bit too empty during our visit. So we moved on to explore Garden Grove’s Historic Main Street. 🚶♀️🌳 📍Steelcraft Garden Grove 12900 S Euclid St, Garden Grove, CA 92840 #SouthernCalifornia #CaliforniaLife #SoCalLife #SoCalPlacesToGo #SoCalFun #SoCalFoodAndFun #OrangeCounty #GardenGrove #Steelcraft #OrangeCounty #ContainerMarket #StreetFood #CommunityVibes #UniqueEats #LocalGuide #FoodieFind #UrbanExplore #MarketLife
