🇺🇸 Washington DC 2-Day Self-Drive Itinerary 1️⃣

Perfect for a weekend trip! 1.5 days for iconic sights + 0.5 day exploring beautiful Georgetown 🏛️🍂 🅿️ Parking: Very convenient location near the Washington Monument. Use the underground lot shown in – easy access to all attractions. Here’s the optimized route (minimal backtracking!). Just plug each stop into Google Maps 🗺️👇: 1️⃣ Washington Monument The iconic obelisk! Built with stones donated by nations worldwide (including China, though not visible from outside). 🎫 Book online in advance – but same-day drop-in may be possible 🌆 Offers amazing 360° views of the entire National Mall. 2️⃣ World War II Memorial A solemn and grand memorial surrounded by fountains and pillars. 3️⃣ Lincoln Memorial 🚶 Walk from WW2 Memorial – don’t forget to look back for stunning views! 📸 Bring a $5 bill to match Lincoln’s statue 4️⃣ Vietnam Veterans Memorial A moving black granite wall inscribed with the names of the fallen. 5️⃣ The White House 🏛️ Can’t go inside, but perfect for a classic photo (you know the one 😉). 6️⃣ Treasury Building Right next to the White House – that’s the $10 bill building! 💵 7️⃣ Metro Variety Shop Best souvenir stop in DC – more variety than other places! 📍 Located right at the metro elevator exit. 🌇 Ended the day watching the sunset behind the Washington Monument – magical! Also previewed the lit-up United States Capitol at night – absolutely gorgeous. 🥪 Ate Subway for dinner (not worth recommending lol 😂) 🚶‍♂️ Day 1 = 20,000 steps! Day 2 coming soon in 🫶🏻 #USA #TravelUSA #WashingtonDC #DCGuide #DCTravel #TravelTips #SelfDriveTour
