๐บ๐ธ What I Ate in Kansas City in 3 Days & 2 Nights ๐๐ท๐ฅ
Hereโs my Kansas City food journey โ a mix of famous BBQ, surprising German cuisine, and local drinks! ๐ Q39 Lived up to the hype! Huge portions โ I ordered brisket + ribs with veggies ๐ Also tried their famous onion rings โ a giant plate for just a few bucks! ๐ง ๐ต Very thin-cut, well-seasoned (a bit salty though). The ribs were better than the brisket โ tender and fall-off-the-bone. Plus, the bartender wasโฆ quite a sight ๐: classic Midwest vibe, all in black, tattoo sleeves, blond side-part, and, wellโฆ letโs just say he had personality ๐ ๐ฉ๐ช Affare Upscale German food in KC โ who knew? I had the seasonal white asparagus soup โ creamy and subtly sweet ๐ฅฃ Main course: duck liver + scallops โ so rich and flavorful Paired with a Riesling โ my favorite white wine ๐ท with notes of pear, apple, and honey Finished with Black Forest cake โ not too sweet! ๐ Couldnโt finish it, so I took it to goโฆ best breakfast ever the next day! ๐ฅ Shatto Milk Tried the famous local Shatto milk โ no need to go to Hen House, itโs sold in most supermarkets here ๐ฅ Had the chocolate and strawberry flavors โ both delicious and not overly sweet! ๐๐ซ ๐ Jack Stack For $15, you get a massive portion of sausage and burnt ends (the famous BBQ crusts) But honestlyโฆ it was too greasy for me. Couldnโt finish it. Overall? I think Iโm good on American BBQ for a while ๐ Seeing so many overweight people on the streets really makes you want to eat a salad ๐ฅ๐ #KansasCityEats #KCFood #BBQ #GermanFood #FoodReview #TravelDiary #KansasCity #Foodie
