πΊπΈ What I Ate in Kansas City in 3 Days & 2 Nights ππ·π₯
Hereβs my Kansas City food journey β a mix of famous BBQ, surprising German cuisine, and local drinks! π Q39 Lived up to the hype! Huge portions β I ordered brisket + ribs with veggies π Also tried their famous onion rings β a giant plate for just a few bucks! π§ π΅ Very thin-cut, well-seasoned (a bit salty though). The ribs were better than the brisket β tender and fall-off-the-bone. Plus, the bartender wasβ¦ quite a sight π: classic Midwest vibe, all in black, tattoo sleeves, blond side-part, and, wellβ¦ letβs just say he had personality π π©πͺ Affare Upscale German food in KC β who knew? I had the seasonal white asparagus soup β creamy and subtly sweet π₯£ Main course: duck liver + scallops β so rich and flavorful Paired with a Riesling β my favorite white wine π· with notes of pear, apple, and honey Finished with Black Forest cake β not too sweet! π Couldnβt finish it, so I took it to goβ¦ best breakfast ever the next day! π₯ Shatto Milk Tried the famous local Shatto milk β no need to go to Hen House, itβs sold in most supermarkets here π₯ Had the chocolate and strawberry flavors β both delicious and not overly sweet! ππ« π Jack Stack For $15, you get a massive portion of sausage and burnt ends (the famous BBQ crusts) But honestlyβ¦ it was too greasy for me. Couldnβt finish it. Overall? I think Iβm good on American BBQ for a while π Seeing so many overweight people on the streets really makes you want to eat a salad π₯π #KansasCityEats #KCFood #BBQ #GermanFood #FoodReview #TravelDiary #KansasCity #Foodie
