πΊπΈ Wisconsin Madison Day Trip
When I told people I was going to Wisconsin, Americans were like, "Why would you go to such a remote place?" π Actually, my oldest brother had a fencing competition here, so the whole family tagged along for a trip! Madison is the capital of Wisconsin. Its golden-domed Capitol building is open to the public for free ποΈ. Just a short walk away is the University of Wisconsin-Madison, right next to a beautiful lake. The university dining hall has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sparkling water β with summer skies, white clouds, and sailboats, the view is stunning! β΅π Compared to Chicago, Wisconsin feels much more peaceful in summer β no homeless people on the streets, mostly white faces, and almost no Asians (nothing like the Bay Area!). After days of eating "white people food," I finally found a Chinese restaurant near campus and had rice noodles π. You know that feeling of being full but still unsatisfied? π« My weight is now something I can feel without even stepping on a scale... Thankfully, the trip is ending soon β heading back to the Bay Area for work this weekend! π Bay Area friends, house hunting plans, letβs go! π‘ #StudyAbroad #Wisconsin #UWMadison #TravelWI πβ¨
