🇺🇸DC|A Bit Commercial But Reliably Good Omakase 🥢

🌟 Sushi Nakazawa • A comfortable and steady meal 📍 Located at the back entrance of the Waldorf Astoria in DC ✏️ Overall feels quite commercial, but it’s a safe choice. It’s the kind of place where if you’re really craving omakase today, you won’t go wrong—at least you won’t be disappointed. 💰 Price reference: Classic 190 / Super 310 The Super option includes 3 extra courses compared to the Classic. Good value for someone trying omakase for the first time. 💵🍣 • My favorite of the meal was the Kinmedai (Golden Eye Snapper)—sweet and fresh, with a perfect balance of richness and lightness. The sushi rice portions are thoughtfully sized—I noticed my boyfriend’s pieces were slightly larger than mine. Great for those with smaller appetites; you won’t feel too full by the 7th or 8th piece. 👫🍚 • The seasoning was just right—sauces enhanced the natural flavors without overpowering them. 👌🎨 • As for the Truffle Sushi, they used summer truffle, which has a milder aroma compared to winter truffles. Not a standout, and not worth ordering separately, but it didn’t overshadow the fish either. 🍄😐 • We also tried three different types of eel, each with a distinct texture—though the unagi was just average; the other two were better. 🐟⚖️ 👉 In a nutshell: 7.5/10—won’t disappoint. 💰 For first-timers, the Classic menu offers the best value. ✨ For me, it’s a mid-range choice—not the best bang for your buck, but definitely safe. ⚖️ The Super menu is optional; you’re not missing much. #Foodie #Omakase #JapaneseCuisine #DCfoodRecommendation #DCfoodReview #DMVJapaneseFood #DMVfood #SushiLovers #SafeChoice #FirstTimerFriendly #DCeats #FineDiningDC #WaldorfDC #EatSafe #NoRegrets
