11.11 Sunset at Ninnaji Temple in Kyoto πΈπΊ
On our first day in Kyoto, Ninnaji Temple wasn't originally on our itinerary. πΏπ However, as we passed by and noticed the impressive Sanmon gate, we were drawn in, especially because the characters Ninnaji sound similar to Renhe, πΏπ the name of the first workplace of our dear old comrade Deng. So, we decided to take a spontaneous visit. π―β¨ The temple is backed by a grand mountain, creating a magnificent atmosphere. πΏπ Later, we learned that Ninnaji holds a significant place in Kyoto's history, as an old emperor once became a monk here and later became a retired emperor, giving the temple a royal garden's elegance. ππ πΈπΊ Around three in the afternoon, the sun began to set in the west, and the autumn breeze grew cooler. With fewer tourists around, the red leaves glowed brilliantly in the sunset, shining dazzlingly and intoxicatingly. πΈπΊ We wandered through the courtyards, corridors, and forest paths, chasing the shadows of the light and capturing the enchanting beauty of the autumn leaves. ππΈ πΈπΊ #RecordingMyLife ππ
