Refuel β½ and take a break, or have lunch there if you start later. 2οΈβ£ From Sacramento, drive 2 more hours to West Tahoe. We headed straight to Sugar Pine Point State Park π€οΈ. Parking: $10 π ΏοΈ (plenty of spots) See the famous underwater railroad tracks ππ¦ Spend about 10-15 mins here. Skip if short on time! 3οΈβ£ Drive south to Emerald Bay π Navigate to Emerald Bay State Park Lookout πΊοΈ Warning: Parking is VERY limited! β οΈ We ended up parking on the roadside πΈ and walking 10 mins (no sidewalk β cars zoom by! ππ¨) View is stunning nd thereβs a trail leading downward. 4οΈβ£ Continue counterclockwise to Secret Cove π€« Tricky to find! Many get lost (we did too π ). β Park at Secret Cove Parking π ΏοΈ β Do NOT take the βSecret Cove Trailβ β itβs rough! π β Take the wide path on the left instead πΆββοΈ β After a few mins, youβll see a house β turn right β 5 more mins β paradise! π The water is unbelievably clear and blue π 5οΈβ£ Day 2: Plan B due to rain π§οΈ Our 9 AM Clear Kayak Tour at Sand Harbor was canceled π’ Changed plans: Rented e-bikes from Flume Trail Bikes π΄βοΈ ($68 for 2 hrs) Rode to Sand Harbor β scenic even on a cloudy day! βοΈπ² π How to Enter Sand Harbor Without Reservation: Book a tour with Clearly Tahoe or similar (shuttle access) β but may cancel due to weather π£βοΈβ Park elsewhere and hike in π₯Ύ Ride an e-bike in π΄βοΈ Enter after 4-5 PM β no reservation needed! β° #LakeTahoe #TravelGuide #TahoeTips #OutdoorAdventure #NatureEscape ποΈβ¨
