2-Day Travel Guide and Food Recommendations in Houston
🏵️🏵️I went to Houston for a three-day business trip. I had a great meal (or two!), and spent one day sightseeing—let’s be real, Houston doesn’t have that much to do 😂, but the food is pretty amazing! The city is huge, and taking taxis isn’t convenient, so renting a car is definitely recommended.🌷 🏨 We stayed at AC Marriott Downtown, and I wouldn’t really recommend it 😅. There’s nothing around, and there are quite a few homeless people in the downtown area.🍎 · ✈️ NASA Space Center: You must arrive by 3 PM at the latest if you want to take the tram to the outdoor exhibits. We got there around 4 PM and missed all the shows and trams. 🫧 Waterfall Park: It’s a bit plain, and the inner section had no water when we went 🥲. 🦕 Natural Science Museum: Perfect for kids—the exhibits are pretty extensive and engaging. 🎨 MFA (Didn’t have time to go 😂) If you plan to visit 3 or more attractions, the CityPASS (around $76) is a good deal—it’s cheaper than buying tickets for each spot separately. · 🍚 Food (Texas food is so good 🥲—hardly any misses this time!) Eunice 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟: Highly recommend the shrimp étouffée. The baby cabbage and gumbo are also good, but the healthy oysters are a bit rich. Their dessert bread is delicious! 🍢🍢 Though it definitely feels like a calorie bomb. 🍐🎼Truth BBQ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟: No wonder our local Texas colleague recommended it—it’s incredible! My favorite was the beef brisket, which was perfectly marbled and tender. 🐼 The pork ribs had a strong smoky flavor and were also tender. The spicy sausage was tasty but a little salty. For sides, the corn pudding tastes just like cornmeal cake—so good 🤤.🌱🌱 Traveler’s Table 🌟🌟🌟🌟: Great atmosphere and tasty food, but the curry crab was a bit salty. 🍙French Rivera 🌟🌟🌟⭐️: Nice latte art, but the coffee itself is just okay. They only serve bakery items and egg-based brunch dishes, which are tasty though. Chuan San Jiao (Sichuan San Jiao) 🌟🌟🌟🌟: A Sichuan friend took us here—delicious, affordable, and the service was great.👍 #UnforgettableFoodExperiences #Houston #HoustonLife #HoustonFoodie #HoustonEats #USATravel #HoustonTravel
