28-Year French Bistro in Georgetown: Bistrot Lepic đ·
Iâve previously recommended Chez Billy Sud in Georgetownâbut recently remembered another gem: Bistrot Lepic & Wine Bar! đ„âš Decided to revisit and had another lovely meal. Tucked away a bit from M Street, this spot oozes charm from the outside in. Pre-pandemic, I enjoyed their duck leg (generous portion and tasty!) and their crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e was solid too. đŠđź â Salmon Tarte (Starter) This appetizer is a must-try! The salmon was fresh, tender, and full of flavorâhighly recommend! đđ â Soft Shell Crab (Main) Tried the soft shell crab from the specials menu. The crab was tender and plump, though the overall flavor was on the lighter side. You can order one or twoâI went with one since I wasnât too hungry. Personally, Iâve had more flavorful soft shell crab in Annapolis, but crab lovers might still enjoy it! đŠ â Trout (Main) The fish was well-prepared, as youâd expect from a French kitchenâsolid but not particularly memorable. đ â Lemon Tart (Dessert) Absolutely loved this! Rich, tangy, and perfectly sweetâa delightful finish! đđ The vibe here is effortlessly Frenchârelaxed and classy. Great for dates or catching up with friends! đŹđŸ The first floor is brighter, while the second floor is dimmer with an artsy feel thanks to paintings on the walls. Location isnât too busy, so reservations are usually easy. Street parking and nearby lots available. Have you been to Bistrot Lepic? Whatâs your favorite French spot in DC?
