3-Day NJ Road Trip: Corning Museum of Glass ๐๐จ
To avoid the Thanksgiving crowds, we planned a relaxing 3-day self-drive trip. Hereโs our itinerary: Day 1: Set off at 9 AM โ arrived at the Corning Museum of Glass at 1 PM (spent 3 hours there) โ stayed overnight near Niagara Falls ๐๏ธ Day 2: Reached Niagara Falls at 10 AM (3 hours of exploring) โ visited the Eternal Flame Falls at 2 PM (1 hour) โ enjoyed sunset at Ontario Beach Park in Rochester around 4:30 PM โ stayed overnight in Ithaca ๐ Day 3: Toured Cornell University starting at 10 AM (2.5 hours) โ drove around Finger Lakes at 1 PM (30 mins) โ headed back home ๐๐จ On Day 1, we started with the Corning Museum of Glass. Parking is free ๐ ฟ๏ธ, and general admission is $22, with a student discount bringing it to around $18. The museum is quite spacious โ we spent about 3 hours there. Itโs very photogenic ๐ธ, and they offer live glassmaking demonstrations! Since we arrived fairly late and the museum closes at 5 PM, we didnโt get to try the glassmaking workshop (so no first-hand tips on that, sorry!). We also checked out the gift shop on the lower level, but the pieces there werenโt as impressive as the exhibits, and the prices werenโt the most attractive. Still, itโs worth browsing if youโre looking for souvenirs. Overall, if youโre driving to Ithaca or Niagara Falls, the Corning Museum of Glass is a highly recommended pit stop! ๐ฏ After Day 1, we drove to our accommodation near Niagara Falls. Stay tuned for my next post all about Niagara! ๐ #WorthVisiting #CorningMuseumOfGlass #NiagaraFalls #NJRoadTrip #NYRoadTrip #TravelGuide
