Niagara Falls โ Corning Museum of Glass โ Ithaca ๐๐
After a quick breakfast at the hotel, we drove early to Niagara Falls State Park. ๐ฒ๐๏ธ Since it was still morning, the park was almost empty โ and no parking fee yet! The views were absolutely breathtaking. We stopped at various overlooks to admire the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and the powerful Horseshoe Falls, along with the roaring Niagara River rushing toward the drop. Definitely worth the long drive! By 10 AM, we checked out and headed to the Corning Museum of Glass โ a 3-hour drive. ๐ฎโจ There, we explored stunning glass artworks from different eras, watched live glassmaking demonstrations, and learned all about glass technology and history. We then continued west toward Ithaca, our stop for the night. On the way, we passed Watkins Glen State Park ๐๏ธ, but unfortunately the gorge trail was closed for the winter. Still, we caught a peaceful view of the beautiful Seneca Lake ๐๐ง. The region of western-central New York is filled with rolling hills and 11 long narrow lakes known as the Finger Lakes. Ithaca โ where weโre staying โ is also home to the famous Ivy League school, Cornell University ๐. Along the drive, we noticed the rich soil and many old farmhouses, suggesting a traditional agricultural area. By 4 PM, we arrived at our hotel in Ithaca after a total of 316 km driving. Tonight, weโll be watching live U.S. television coverage to witness the election results! ๐บ๐ณ๏ธ๐บ๐ธ #NiagaraFalls #CorningMuseumOfGlass #IthacaNY #FingerLakes #RoadTrip #USATravel #FallVibes #CornellUniversity #ElectionNight #TravelDiary
