3 Days & 2 Nights in Kaliningrad ✨

DAY ①: City Exploration ❄️ Our flight from Moscow was delayed due to a snowstorm (classic Aeroflot! 😅). Arrived at Kaliningrad’s compact airport at 6 AM. Since airport buses weren’t running yet, we took a taxi to our downtown. 🏰 Started city walk at 9 AM: Königsberg Cathedral: 6 mins from our stay. Regular organ concerts are held here 🎶 – student tickets are cheap! Kant Museum behind the cathedral. Found the first Khomlin dwarf on the bridge 🧝♂️. Fish Village (beautiful at night with lights!). tried pastries at Выдостойны настоящего хлеба: cream puffs (sweet) & delicious palmiers 🥨. Lighthouse (100 RUB/person) – great for sunset views! 🌅 Strolled along the river: found the 2nd Khomlin, memorial statues, a cruise ship, the 3rd Khomlin, and the Ocean Museum (didn’t enter). 🟡 Amber Museum: bought tickets on-site. Souvenirs are affordable! Spotted the 4th Khomlin nearby. Dinner at German restaurant Тётка фишер – okay-ish, 3000+ RUB for three. DAY ②: Day Trip to the Towns 🚂 Took a local train from Yuzhny Station (bus 3-4 mins). Bought student tickets onboard (30-40 RUB/ride – super cheap!). ① Svetlogorsk-2 🐌: A peaceful “slow town”. Cafés near the station. Cable car was closed 😢, so we walked to the beach (under construction but still scenic!). Visited water tower, snail statue 🐌, and colorful houses. Bought souvenirs at station stalls (bargain if you speak Russian!). ② Zelenogradsk (Cat Town) 🐱: More commercial and lively. Accidentally got off one stop early – but found an empty beach for photos! 📸 Ate seafood shawarma at Промрыба – generous portions, yummy! 🌯 Holiday vibes with festive lights and fir trees! 🎄 Cat-themed everything! Friendly street cats everywhere 😻. Amber shops along main street. Tried crispy palmiers at Кофекрендель. Rode the Ferris wheel at sunset – stunning coastal views! 🎡🌅 DAY ③: Back to the City Explored missed spots in the city. Lunch at French restaurant Мадам Буше in Fish Village – delicious! 😋 Great service & ambiance (book ahead!). Cost: ~1500-2000 RUB/person. #StudyInRussia #Kaliningrad #TravelMeaning ❤️
