Kaliningrad 📝
Kaliningrad Oblast is my favorite Russian destination so far – I’ll definitely return multiple times! It’s perfect for a relaxing getaway! 😍🌿 🐱 Zelenogradsk (Cat Town) Cat-themed elements everywhere 🐾, and plenty of real cats too! A convenient and charming place to stay. 🏛️ Kaliningrad (City) The seven Khomlin dwarf statues are scattered around the city – finding them is a fun way to explore all the major landmarks! 🧝♂️🗺️ 🏞️ Curonian Spit (Куршская Коса) Head out in the morning or afternoon from Cat Town. Highly recommend hiring a local driver-guide 🚗👨💼 – they provide insights and take you to hidden, less-crowded spots. Our guide was friendly and interactive (basic Russian needed to understand their stories!). We toured with 3 people in a car for about 5 hours (depending on beach time 🏖️). ⚠️ Don’t stay too late – there are no streetlights, and foxes, wild boars, deer, and rabbits come out at night! 🦊🐗🦌🐇 🚡 Svetlogorsk (Snail Town) The yellow cable car is right next to the train station – 50 RUB per person. It takes you down to the beach (I think the best beach is here!) and up to the main street 🏘️. Perfect for a slow, peaceful stroll – so relaxing! 😌 🍽️ Food Recommendations: Fresh fish dishes 🐟 Lithuanian cuisine 🥘 Local beer 🍺 Salted fish 🧂 Almond pastries & desserts 🥨🍰 🛍️ Souvenirs: You’ll end up buying amber non-stop – you’ll see why when you get there! 💎🛒 #Kaliningrad #TravelRussia #CuronianSpit #CatTown #Svetlogorsk #AmberShopping #BalticHoliday 🇷🇺✨
