The old nest of Germany 🏰, the hometown of Kant 🧠, a city where time slows down by several times 🐌 A spontaneous backpacking journey 🎒 1️⃣ Right after dropping our luggage, we headed to the century-old German restaurant Тётка Фишер Open since 1814, the décor and staff in traditional German clothing make you feel the atmosphere of two centuries ago. Their roasted pork knuckle is a must-try, and the grilled chicken skewers are also delicious 👍🏻 The portions are so huge we had to pack leftovers for breakfast the next day! 📍 Address: Шевченко 11A 2️⃣ This time, we chose to stay in a downtown apartment instead of Cat Town. Though the building is old, the location is perfect – easy access everywhere 🏙️. The apartment was fully equipped. Since we knew we couldn’t eat "white people food" every day (our Chinese stomachs wouldn’t allow it 😂), we picked a place with a kitchen – and the utensils were spotless! When the washing machine broke, the landlord bought a new one the next day. (Big thumbs up for that! 👍🏻) 3️⃣ Königsberg Cathedral ⛪️ Don’t miss the mini organ concert inside! 🎫 Book tickets online in advance – student discounts available. 4️⃣ Friedland Gate Museum It’s said that German forces surrendered here. The historical exhibits and wax figures are quite interesting! 5️⃣ Fish Village Enjoy afternoon tea by the street ☕, watch boats pass by, and listen to street performers – pure relaxation! All of the above are in the city center – perfect for casual exploring! 6️⃣ Cat Town (Zelenogradsk) 🐱 We took a small train there – the station has frequent departures 🚉. From Severny (Север) or Yuzhny (Южный) Station to Zelenogradsk Noviy. Round-trip tickets are recommended, and student discounts apply! 🥨 Don’t miss the palmier pastries from this town – unforgettable! 7️⃣ Curonian Spit (Куршская Коса) 🌲 (Absolutely worth a visit!) Fun fact: Your WeChat location can show Lithuania here 🇱🇹! On our second last day, we returned to Cat Town just to visit the spit. From the train station, take bus #210 and get off at the most popular stop – or choose your own adventure!
