4️⃣ Trip along the West Coast of the USA 🦭🦭🦭
On the drive to the border city of San Diego, you’ll pass by La Jolla Cove, also known as the Sealion Bay. It’s about ten kilometers off the highway. There are plenty of free parking spots 🅿️ on both sides of the coastal road, but you might need luck on weekends. Once you park and open your car door, you’ll be hit with a strong fishy scent, a intensified version of the seaside aroma. Many describe it as stinky, but I wouldn’t say that. If you’ve been to a fishing village, it’s pretty much that scent. The rocks by the seaside are covered with seals 🦭, seabirds 🐦, and pelicans, all minding their own business. There are stairs that lead down to the small cliffs below, allowing for a relatively close observation of the animals. The seals occasionally let out joyful barks. 🍽️🌆Across the road, there are restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy your meal with the pungent scent, adding a unique flavor to the experience. 🚗🦭The towns by the shore are filled with Spanish-style architecture. Taking a stroll and having brunch is definitely a choice you won’t regret. #LaJollaCove #SanDiego #USRoadTrip #WestCoastUSA #Seals #Pelicans #Seabirds #Coast #LosAngeles
