🌟 A Bite of Columbus: My Year in Delicious Bites
Here’s a roundup of some memorable meals I’ve had in Columbus this year — the good, the great, and the not-so-great! 🍝 Del Mar Loved the lobster pasta and octopus — chewy, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The ambiance is super photogenic too! 📸 ⚠️ But fair warning: a friend said quality is inconsistent — one amazing visit, one disappointing one. 🏛️ RH Rooftop Restaurant Three floors — the bottom two are a stunning furniture showroom 💫. Lobster roll, roasted chicken, and simple stir-fried broccoli were pleasant surprises. Nothing extraordinary, but a pretty setting. 🔥 Fireproof Spanish fusion on High Street. Small plates, big prices. Lobster tacos: tiny, only three! Tuna tartare: delicious 😋 Pasta: meh 😬 Service was just okay — not the warmest even on my birthday 🎂. 🇪🇸 Barcelona (German Village) A consistent favorite! Seafood paella & octopus rice — generous and tasty Creamy mussels — my #2 in Columbus 😆 Beautiful interior + great for a post-dinner stroll I’ve been back multiple times — highly recommend! 🌃 Mandrake (High Street) Great rooftop with city views! Bang bang shrimp 🍤 — a must-try Fusion sushi + grass-fed meats (some had a distinct taste) Sadly, the “Peking duck-style” dish is gone from the menu 🏙️ Vaso Rooftop Spanish spot — nice vibe! Seafood paella: large portion, decent flavor (but not as good as Barcelona) Crab cake: pretty good Other small plates were forgettable 🍅 Carrabba’s Italian Grill Creamy mussels — the BEST in Columbus! So good, I wiped the sauce clean with bread 🥖 Lobster ravioli: creamy but heavy Tomato-based pasta > all cream pastas here Great value and flavor — will return! 🍷 Tucci’s Red wine braised short ribs 👍 Soups were nice Grilled items had a bitter, burnt taste Worth one visit — but not a repeater for me. #ColumbusEats #FoodRecap #ColumbusRestaurants #BestBites #FoodieDiary #ColumbusFoodGuide 🍴✨
