This park was a great idea to bring the community together, then they went and ruined it. First, if you are going to have a closed event, where you have to pay to get in, go to a park that isnt small where you will be in the way. Then make it affordable. The kids wanted to join the party, but the price was $10 a person, no matter the age. Hell no! I could understand a few bucks, but not ten. And kids should be free! It's a park it's supposed to be FREE FUN! I understand they dont control the people who rent space. However, this is a small park, not nice to block over half the people out of the fun.
This is a park down town where people are supposed to gather and enjoy. The dog park is stuck right behind the stage, so you get to watch everyone in the event while the music drives the dogs nuts. The play area for the dogs are small and rather than them getting to run around they all end up clustered together.
The kids land is nice and strange. However my niece and nephew seem to like it. I do like how you can put put. Play pingpong or even play in the water. There are restaurants there, which I think take away from the hot dog carts, lushly carts, and other vendors who have been working that area for years. Had it been me I would have offered the restaurants to the vendors by making perminate vendor stands for them to rent rather than building two restaurants to run off the local businesses. They already shut down a few places becau see of this careless over site.
The park is split into two parts with a road running through it. This is highly inconvenient and scares me. The road should be taken out and turned into parking. Limited to the park visitors only. Right now it's a fight to find a decent place to park anywhere close. What they had at first was nice, but this new design...
