A Coffee Shop Named After the Koreans' Favorite Movie "About Time" ☕️

Visited the super trendy new cafe in Ktown, About Time! (It really makes you wonder, do Koreans love this movie that much? The references are everywhere... like, is it the only romantic movie that exists? 😂) 🌽 Corn Latte The cream on top has crushed corn kernels mixed in—so good! 👍 But with such a large drink and only one shot of espresso, there's hardly any coffee taste. It's more like drinking a bottle of corn-flavored iced milk. 🥛 The size is between Starbucks' Grande and Venti, but remember: a Starbucks Grande latte defaults to two shots. Just for reference! 🍞 We went pretty late, so we skipped the donuts and just got the Mochi Corn Bread and Chestnut Mochi Bread. (Do the names really have to be so different? Can't they both just be called Mochi Bread? 🤔) 🌽 The corn one was delicious! It had a nice corn flavor and was super chewy. 🌰 The chestnut one's texture was okay, but the filling tasted like it was made from undercooked? chestnuts. Big disappointment—how do Koreans not perfect chestnut filling?! 😅 Ambiance: From my not-so-detailed observation, there are no power outlets. But on a Thursday at 9 PM, there were plenty of seats available. 💺 They're open until 1 AM, which feels very Seoul-like—perfect for night owls! 🦉 The playlist had strong early SHINee vibes and a lot of Korean indie (plenty of Baek Yerin!). 🎵 I went on the 21st; the huge Christmas tree gave it a great holiday vibe. I took a photo of my copy of Han Jisung's photocard here! 🎄🎄 One order grants you a 3-hour stay, but it doesn't seem to specify a minimum spend per order. So... could you just order the cheapest item, stay for 3 hours, then order the cheapest thing again to reset the timer, and repeat indefinitely? 🔁 If that's really the case, it's a great spot to camp out—good Wi-Fi and nice restrooms. 📶🚻 Parking was easy when I went on a rainy weeknight—we paid a few dollars for valet and parked ourselves. But last weekend evening, I passed by and saw cars lined up in the middle of the road waiting to get into the lot! 🚗💨 📍 3287 Wilshire Blvd Ste B, Los Angeles, CA 90010 What's your favorite late-night study or hangout spot in LA?
