A Comprehensive Guide to Recommended Paid Activities in Yellowknife
1️⃣ Aurora bus tour⛰️ Recommendation: 🌟🌟 🗼The clouds were very thick that day, and we basically didn't see the aurora. 🌤️ We only stayed by the lake briefly and finally 🌈arrived at a tent. 🏡The tour guide guy was very nice and kept taking photos for us on his own initiative, but if you don't see the aurora, the whole tour has basically no highlights.🌟 2️⃣ Aboriginal Aurora Tour💧 Recommendation: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 After taking a car, we took a sled 🛷 to an Aboriginal hut 🛖. 🏛️There was hot tea and coffee in the hut. The Aboriginal people would give everyone a basic introduction, kill fish, grill fish and bake small bread for everyone to eat. The aurora would also appear outside at any time.🖼️ On that day, we were lucky enough to see the "dancing" aurora ‼️ Finally, there would be a drum performance. The experience was really good.👍👍 3️⃣ Dog Sledding Recommendation: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 There are two options:👀 👣- U drive: The former is a small sled with six dogs 🐶for two people, one sitting in the sled and the other standing behind to control the brake; the latter is a large sled. 💕- Traditional: Five or six people sit in a large sled, pulled by 10-12 dogs.🐶 I thought it would end soon, but in fact, we ran around the forest for a big 🛶circle. Many dogs kept barking because they wanted to run💜 out to play. Some dogs look quite thin, but in fact, it's because they exercise every day and eat very well – a mixture of chicken🐔, fish 🐟and dog 🐶food. ☄️Even if there are no guests, they will be taken out for a trail run by their owners🌩️ (Those who don't like similar projects can skip it) 4️⃣ Ice fishing & Aboriginal fishing + fish feast Recommendation: 🌟🌟🌟 Due to the season when we came, ice fishing 🐟was not possible, so we changed to watching Aboriginal people fish with nets👉👈 The whole process was actually very short. We took a snowmobile to the ice🍦, and watched the Inuit pull the net 🕸️ out of the hole. 😝There was a string of hooks on the net with various fish from Great Slave Lake. However, the newly caught fish were not what we would eat that day, but you could buy them from the fishermen. 🌇 🌈For 20 CAD, you could buy a super big whitefish/trout/cod, which could then be taken to a restaurant for processing.👣 The whole process ended in about half an hour. Then we drove to Cai’s Cuisine, a Chinese restaurant in Yellowknife, to eat pickled fish.🐟 The taste was good, but the sense of participation in the whole process was not strong. The above are the Yellowknife experiences we had. 👀 ☔If other friends have more recommendations, you can discuss them rationally in the comment section🌏 #CanadaTravel #Canada #NorthAmericanLife #NorthAmericanTravel #USA #Toronto #Vancouver #Yellowknife
