A Cozy Italian Spot with RAMMYS 2024 Vibes! 🏆

Ama is a 2024 RAMMYS nominee for Best New Restaurant in DC! 🎉 We decided to try their brunch menu first – heard the owner really focuses on healthy, quality ingredients! 🥗💚 Ama feels like a true neighborhood restaurant – comfortable, unpretentious, the kind of place where you can sit all afternoon. ☕🌿 We ordered: • Pizza Focaccia: Warm, fluffy, and drizzled with olive oil for extra flavor and texture. • Three kinds of cured meats: Ham, Prosciutto Cotto, and Prosciutto San Daniele. • A fresh vegetable salad. The focaccia was slightly warm, super airy, and the olive oil made it aromatic and satisfying. With a cup of coffee and a slice of bread, you could easily spend a whole relaxed afternoon here. 😌🍞 The cured meats were solid – definitely a step up from pre-packed supermarket versions (like Whole Foods), with a noticeable difference in texture and quality. The salad was refreshing, though the dressing was a bit heavy – so maybe not the healthiest option. 🥗⚠️ I’ve heard their pasta is great too – would love to try it next time! The décor is simple and rustic, with a touch of Italian countryside charm – no flashy or overwhelming vibes. 🏡✨ Brunch came out to around $50 per person – DC prices, am I right? 💸😅 📍 Ama 885 New Jersey Ave SE, Washington, DC #DCfoodexploration #DMVfood #DMVdining #WashingtonDC #DMV #CafeEats #DMVfoodandfun #ItalianCuisine #BrunchGoals #NeighborhoodEats #RAMMYSNominee #HealthyEating #SimpleAndGood #FocacciaLove #CuredMeats #CozyVibes #ItalianStyle #NoFussDining #RelaxedMeal #DCPrices
