🦀 A Crab Lover's Winter Haven in DC
From October 15 through May each year, Truluck's runs its celebrated Stone Crab season, sourcing claws directly from Florida and serving them within 24 hours of harvest. The freshness speaks for itself — sweet, tender meat that slips effortlessly from the expertly cracked shell. Paired with their house-made mustard sauce, each bite is pure, briny bliss 😋. 🍖 Beyond Crab: Meat Worth Mentioning ✅ Lumina Lamb Chops (Image 2) Raised on New Zealand's Lumina farm and dry-aged for tenderness. Recommended medium-rare; I opted for medium-well — still incredibly juicy inside with a beautifully charred crust. Possibly the best Western-style lamb chops I've had in the U.S. ✅ 16oz Ribeye Steak Cooked to a perfect medium-rare — seared outside, warm pink within. Rich, beefy, and deeply satisfying 😋. Also tried their Trout Amandine (not pictured) — looked incredibly fresh and flaky. 🍰 Sweets & Details ▪️ Carrot Cake — shockingly huge, enough for four! ▪️ Apple Cake — very sweet, similar to apple pie; skip if you prefer less sugar. ▪️ Complimentary Bread — large, airy yet chewy, almost cake-like in texture. ▪️ LED Menu — a clever touch! Easy to read in the dim lighting and even works as a photo fill light (Image 11). 🌟 Vibe & Service Elegant, intimate setting. Attentive yet unobtrusive service — staff are warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Perfect for dates, celebrations, or treating yourself. 📌 Need to Know 📍 700 K St NW, Washington, DC 20001 🦀 Stone Crab Season: Oct 15 – May 🅿️ Convenient underground parking available 💰 Pricy, but you pay for quality and experience If you're in DC this winter craving premium seafood (and some outstanding meat), Truluck’s delivers a memorable, indulgent escape. #WashingtonDCEats #SeafoodDC #StoneCrabSeason #DateNightDC #FineDiningDC #FoodExperience #DCRestaurantReview
