A Day of Eating and Drinking in Atlanta!
❤️On our way back from Orlando, we stopped in Atlanta for a night to rest and grab a meal. We also visited Da Zhong Hua (a large Chinese supermarket) since we don’t have one in our area. It felt like ages since I’d seen so many Chinese people...💐 ❤️We checked out the highly recommended Korean restaurant, Chung Ki Wa. The two signature dishes were really delicious! Maybe it was because we’d been driving for eight hours and were extremely hungry, but the first bite was incredibly satisfying. The beef short ribs were tender and fell off the bone with just a gentle bite. The bean sprouts were abundant and flavorful. The cod with tofu was a pleasant surprise—the cod was very tender, and the tofu, soaked in the sweet and spicy sauce, was full of flavor. The two dishes had somewhat similar flavors, and the portions were generous. ❤️If you’re dining alone and unsure what to order, I’d suggest trying the cod in the restaurant and taking the beef short ribs to go. The side dishes, including the spicy crab (a made-up name), were also great. They’re complimentary and not for sale. When we arrived at 9:30 p.m., the restaurant was nearly empty, and we ran into fellow Chinese diners who had also discovered the place through Xiaohongshu (a social media app). We couldn’t help but take a few extra glances—they were so cute and familiar!💐 ❤️The next day, we visited Naju Myunok, a Korean self-service fast-food restaurant that’s supposedly friendly for those with social anxiety. Compared to the first place, this one was a bit more ordinary. The soup was quite bland, but the beef patties were decent and a hit with the kids. The cold noodles were passable, and the dumplings were okay too. However, our favorite was their homemade kimchi... It was a hundred times better than what I’d bought at the Asian supermarket. A large box for $16, with both cabbage and radish varieties. #Atlanta #AtlantaKoreanFood #AMealOfDeliciousFood #AtlantaFood
