A Day Trip in Wisconsin 🚤🍃
We visited during the National Day holiday and arrived at the Dell Boat Tour around 11 AM. Luckily, there was almost no line, and we got on the boat quickly! The tour lasts about 2 hours with two stops. You only need around 30 minutes at each stop to take photos and look around. A friendly tip🧥: If you’re coming after September, bring warm clothes! The wind on the boat was strong and chilly. Also, many of the rock formations are in the shade, so it gets pretty cold without sunlight. We finished around 1 PM and saw a huuge line waiting for the boat — so it’s definitely better to come before 11 AM to avoid the crowd! Overall, the scenery is a bit like a simpler version of Guilin 🇨🇳✈️. Still, it’s worth a visit since there aren’t many mountainous landscapes like this in the Midwest! After the boat tour, we headed to the famous University of Wisconsin-Madison 🎓. The campus is located next to Lake Mendota and is absolutely beautiful! There are lots of lakeside restaurants and student activities, plus rows of sailboats and kayaks parked along the shore. Even though Madison is pretty far north (winters can be even colder than Chicago’s ❄️😅), Lake Mendota makes summer here incredibly romantic and pleasant. Just imagine… sipping a drink by the lake, maybe falling in love… sounds like a perfect day, right? 😉💙 #DayTrip #UWMadison #DellBoatTour #LittleGuilin #TravelWI
