I've passed by Istanbul Grill in VA so many times but never stopped in until now! Tucked near Ballston, it’s easy to miss—but so worth the visit. 😋👌 The chef is said to be a Turkish-French grandpa (working every day except Wednesday nights 👨🍳❤️), and the food truly speaks of homemade warmth and flavor! 🍽️ Mezze Platter Highly recommend this appetizer with six different dips! We loved the hummus, two styles of yogurt dips, the pink beet spread, and the eggplant dip—all delicious! The only one with a kick was the dark dip on the right (a bit spicy 🌶️), but everything else was mild and flavorful! 🍖 Sliced Lamb Entrée I went for the sliced lamb kebab—less heavy but super tasty! Served with beet-infused rice (they really love beets here! 💕), and I cleaned the whole plate! 🥗 Salad Fresh and tangy with a nice zing—a bit too acidic for my taste, so 4/5 stars from me! Still refreshing though! 🌿 🍞 Complimentary Bread SO FLUFFY and irresistible! 😍 It’s so filling though—I had no room for dessert, even though the menu looked tempting! 🥛 Savory Yogurt Drink A unique, slightly salty yogurt beverage—interesting texture!
