A Dreamy Town? Half-Day Trip to Burlington
A Dreamy Town? Half-Day Trip to Burlington |🇨🇦 The weather was perfect on the weekend, so I took a spontaneous day trip near Toronto with The forecast said it would rain in the afternoon, but we luckily dodged Toronto’s once-in-a-century heavy downpour—what a lucky trip!☀️ ==== Rambling Divider ==== 1⃣️ 🌟 Brant Street Pier Walk toward the lake after getting off the car, and you’ll find Burlington’s landmark—Brant Street Pier! The steel walkway stretches straight into the center of the lake, super stylish~ The air after rain is incredibly fresh, with a gentle, misty breeze blowing. Strolling along the lake is so relaxing, you’ll want to hum a tune~ If you love the “sea meets sky” vibe and need to unwind, this is a hidden gem—every photo feels healing~ 🌊 2⃣️ 🌟 The Sunshine Doughnut co. Walk to the end of the riverside path, cross the🌈rainbow bridge, and tucked away in an alley is this Xiaohongshu-famous 🍩 shop! The doughnuts are amazing😋—so many flavors, there’s definitely one for you~ Take a bite, and the chewy dough with sweet frosting hits your dopamine—pure happiness! The blue-and-white storefront with pink doughnuts is so girly📷—perfect for photos, 120/10! Next door is the🎨Art Gallery of Burlington—art lovers can pop in for a visit~ Pro tip: Go early! They close at 4 PM, but by 2:30 PM, most flavors are gone—don’t miss out~ 3⃣️ 🌟 Village Square A charming European-style town—small but incredibly cozy~ There’s a vintage phone booth inside, and stepping into it feels like time froze in the 90s, full of nostalgia~ Narrow streets lined with cafes and eateries—sit down for a drink and soak up the slow pace—it’s lovely~ 🇪🇺 4⃣️ 🌟 Burlington Canal Lift Bridge If you’ve driven to Niagara Falls, you’ve probably passed the Burlington Bay bridge on the QEW. Next to it is this liftable canal bridge, with banks stretching to Lake Ontario—amazing views! We arrived around 3 PM (after getting lost on the QEW for a bit😂) and just caught the bridge lifting to let a Singapore-flagged cargo ship🚢 pass through, heading to the Port of Montreal⚓️~ Even though I grew up by the sea, seeing an international cargo ship up close blew me away! The crew waved at us, and seagulls circled the ship—this moment was so warm and beautiful, the highlight of the trip~ ✨ 🅿️ Parking hack: Park at📍Village Square—it’s close to the lake, and best of all—free🆓 after 6 PM on weekdays, and all weekend/holidays! The weather’s warming up, so plan a trip and experience Burlington’s charm~ #TorontoDayTrips#TorontoAreaTowns#TorontoLife#Burlington#Travel
