LA Cafe on 27 This time, I celebrated my birthday at 🍽️ Cafe on 27! Tucked away in the Topanga mountains ⛰️, the restaurant is surrounded by lush greenery that instantly lifts your spirits. The sunlight streaming through makes it a perfect spot for photos 📷. Seats facing the mountain views are incredibly relaxing—since our group was large, we sat on the patio, which was also lovely! 🥣 Kofta Tagine has a unique presentation and is their signature dish—almost every table orders it! The clam chowder was rich and flavorful—so good that we even ate the bread bowl it came in! 🥖 The other brunch dishes were solid too—no disappointments, just classic, satisfying flavors. 🔥 The restaurant is super popular, so reservations are recommended. Walk-ins may have to wait. There’s a charming little boutique shop near the entrance to explore while waiting! Each table has a 90-minute time limit ⌚️, but since we arrived later and finished around 4 PM, we weren’t reminded about the time—maybe they’re more flexible off-peak? Parties of 5 or more include an automatic 18% gratuity. Our server was both friendly and patient! 💖 🚗 Driving from DTLA at noon on the weekend was pretty congested—allow at least 1.5 hours for the trip. The last 15 minutes involve a scenic mountain road—not too steep, so it’s easy to navigate. 🅿️ Valet parking is $7.
