We spent a day exploring beautiful Bainbridge Island and decided to make lunch a highlight of our trip. With several appealing options — mostly located along Winslow Way — we chose to wander a bit before deciding. And I’m so glad we did! 🧭 Location & Vibe: At the end of the main street, we discovered Hitchcock Cafe. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, with stylish decor, plenty of seating, and a gorgeous, long bar that adds a touch of sophistication. 🥗 What We Ordered & Loved: Kale Salad – Light, crisp, and packed with high-quality greens and a zesty dressing. The portion was generous — perfect for sharing! 🥬✨ Grilled Cheese made with Seattle’s famous Beechers Cheese – Rich, gooey, and deeply satisfying. A simple dish done exceptionally well! 🧀🔥 Tomato Soup – I’ll be honest, it was a bit thinner than I expected. I didn’t love it, but it was fine alongside the sandwich and salad. 👀 Other Tables, Other Temptations: Around us, we saw other diners enjoying dishes that looked incredible — especially the pastrami, which seems to be a house specialty. Next time, that’s what I’m trying! 💡 Insider Tip: Walk all the way to the end of the block — don’t settle too soon.
