A Great Place for a Weekend Hike - Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta ποΈ
π¦Last weekend, the weather was fantastic, so I went to Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta with my friends. The tickets were quite a bargain.π³ No matter how many people are in the car, it's just 20 dollars. π πAfter parking, you can directly enter the scenic area without any additional entrance fees for the mountain. It felt like a great deal! We headed straight to the hiking entrance.πΈπΊ As soon as we went in, we saw a lot of people climbing, so we just followed suit (The entrance is via the Cherokee Trail on map P1!). π’I originally thought it would be super tiring, but it turned out to be surprisingly easy to walk!π¦ πThe whole journey is centered around a huge boulder, but the path is actually quite smooth. There are no super - steep sections where you'd have to use both your hands and feet. We took photos along the way and reached the summit in about forty minutes.π’ On the way up, we met quite a few families hiking together.ππ ππThere were kids, grandparents, and even some brave souls carrying portable speakers... We kept getting overtaken by other people's kids while walking. It was so embarrassing, haha!π The wind at the summit was extremely strong, and it completely woke me up. ποΈ The view was just amazing! You could see the Atlanta skyline in the distance, along with vast expanses of green land. πΏ Suddenly, I felt that a bit of sun exposure in the morning was all worth it. For the descent, we chose to take the cable car. πΈπΊ We reached the bottom in just a few minutes and got to enjoy the scenery along the way. ππThe whole itinerary felt perfectly arranged - a bit of exercise on the way up and some relaxation on the way down. We also successfully avoided the peak - hour crowds.π ποΈ#AtlantaWeekend #AtlantaDayTrips #StoneMountain
