A Literary Restaurant on Jerusalem’s Pedestrian Street
Due to its deep history and religious significance, Jerusalem can often feel heavy or solemn to many visitors. ❤️ But in reality, this city — which has endured so many stories — is now peaceful and calm. It’s important to also discover the vibrant side of Jerusalem beyond the Old City. 🍷 There’s a street called Yoel Moshe Salomon Street, decorated with a thousand colorful umbrellas hanging above. Not only is it beautiful and unique, but it also provides shade from the intense summer sun, offering a cool and pleasant walk.🌴 ❤️ The area around this street is full of commercial pedestrian zones. A short walk further leads to the famous Mahane Yehuda Market, a lively and convenient neighborhood that I consider one of the most beautiful parts of Jerusalem. 🍷 We visited a restaurant called Tmol Shilshom 🍴, tucked away on the second floor of a small alley. It has both indoor and outdoor seating areas. With its elegant and vintage decor, the restaurant feels like a journey through time. 🍷This place stands out for its excellent environment—it's clean, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is peaceful. After all, the overall vibe in Jerusalem is truly pleasant. The food is also delicious, and you won’t find a huge difference in taste for the same dishes across different restaurants. ❤️ My friend is vegetarian, so we ordered all vegetarian dishes. One of them, served in a red iron pan, is a famous Israeli dish called Shakshuka — kind of like an Israeli version of scrambled eggs with tomatoes. It’s made with a tomato base and baked with eggs on top. Very appetizing!🌴 Looking back on my entire trip to Israel, it wasn’t the history or culture that stood out the most — it was the food. #IsraelTravel #FoodGuide #Jerusalem #IsraeliCuisine
