We celebrated our anniversary at Little Pearl, and it did not disappoint! Loved their unique flavor profile—a beautiful blend of French techniques and Southern U.S. soul. 💫 Their wine pairing is absolutely phenomenal! Rumor has it the list was crafted by DC’s only Master Sommelier 🍷, and tonight, every wine complemented each dish flawlessly. 🍽️ Our Tasting Journey: 1️⃣ Angel Egg – A creative twist with meringue-style egg white. Light and heavenly! 👼 2️⃣ Jamon Croquettes – Crispy fried ham and cheese balls with a tangy yogurt dip. So satisfying! 🧀 3️⃣ Clam Chowder – Nothing like New England style! Rich broth with scallops, ham bits, croutons, and apple. Paired with Tissot Brut—dry and perfect with seafood 🥣. 4️⃣ Honey Squash – Seasonal delight! Squash, pine nuts, pear, blue cheese, and Australian truffle shavings. Paired with an amazing Portuguese white wine 🍷. 5️⃣ Pork, Collard, Cornbread – The chef’s homage to his North Carolina roots. Pork confit for 4 hours, then torched—so tender! Served with cornbread and a tobacco-tinged red wine 🥩. 6️⃣ 75-Day Donut – The sous chef’s creation! Sweet outside, salty inside from Spanish Manchego cheese. A bold, cheesy explosion—not for everyone 🍩. 7️⃣ Chocolate Mousse – Topped with salty foie gras flakes and crunchy biscuits. A surprising, unforgettable finish 🍫.
