A One-Day Tour of Downtown Dallas

I’ve finally figured out a great itinerary for a one-day tour of Downtown Dallas. Here’s a suggested route you can follow: 1️⃣ Dallas Museum of Art Free Entry: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Parking: $20/day at the museum’s parking lot. Tip: Take the elevator from the parking level to the first floor, then head up to the fourth floor and work your way down. The exhibitions don’t seem to change much within a year. 2️⃣ Thanksgiving Square Walking Distance: 10 minutes from the museum; 5 minutes by car. Parking: If you’re lucky, you can park on the street and use the card-operated parking meter ($1.25/hour). Tip: This is a small chapel that embraces all faiths. You can visit freely. The walls display appreciation notes from people from over 15 countries. The chapel is used for weddings and other events. The ceiling is a spiral of stained glass, and the exterior looks like a cake. It’s very serene inside, and you can experience the peaceful atmosphere. 3️⃣ Giant Eyeball Walking Distance: 10 minutes from Thanksgiving Square. Tip: You can only view and take photos from a distance; you can’t enter the lawn. There are many homeless people around, so it might not be very safe to walk around at night. 4️⃣ AT&T Headquarters Plaza Parking: There’s a small parking lot and a parking garage nearby (both are paid). Tip: The plaza is very atmospheric at night, with seating, sofas, and grassy areas where you can relax and dine. You can also enjoy the nearly 10,000-square-foot 3D high-definition display on the building’s facade. 5️⃣ NorthPark Center Mall Driving Distance: 10-15 minutes away. Tip: This is a great place to shop and dine. #Dallas #DowntownDallas #OneDayTour
