A Parent's Trip to the US: Exploring Cincinnati with My Daughter 👩🏻
My daughter specially took me downtown on Saturday when it’s liveliest. We took the bus from UC downhill all the way to the city center. Our first stop was Findlay Market 🛒 – a vibrant farmers' market with so much to see! Lots of people were buying food and eating at the outdoor tables. I looked around for a while but didn’t find anything I was really craving — still, my daughter bought a corn cake 🍰 and an ice cream 🍦, and we shared them happily. We also spotted a vintage-style streetcar running along the street — it reminded me of the “Dangdang Che” in Beijing! 🚋 In front of the Cincinnati Music Hall, there was a park filled with families. That day, there seemed to be a kids' event — lots of tents and people giving out goodies. Several fountains ⛲ were there too, and little ones were having a blast playing in the water. For lunch, my daughter brought me to a Mexican restaurant she’d tried before. We ordered tacos — the flavor was pretty authentic! They came as soft, slightly sour tortillas wrapped around tasty fillings. The salad 🥗 was also generous and refreshing, just how I like it. The meal came to around $30, which was reasonable… though I’m still not a fan of having to pay extra tip. 😅 A simple, sunny day — but filled with good food and sweet memories. #CincinnatiDowntown #FindlayMarket #MusicHall #TacosWithMom #USVisitDiary
