A Quick Trip to DC: Rainy Day & a Presidential Meal ☔🇺🇸

Came to Washington DC and got caught in the rain… No photos of the White House, no Capitol shots, not even the Washington Monument. But I did manage to squeeze in a meal at a presidential spot before heading back! 🍽️ 📍 Martin’s Tavern This historic restaurant is where JFK proposed to Jackie! Many presidents and political figures have dined here—you can even request to sit in a specific president’s booth. 🥂 What we ordered: • NY Strip – Cooked perfectly, crispy outside and tender inside. 🥩 • Meatloaf – Super tender, and it’s been a signature dish on the menu since 1993! 🍖 • Mussels – Huge portion, flavorful with a slight kick of spice. 🍲 The portions are massive—we couldn’t finish everything between two people! 🥵 Have you ever eaten at a restaurant with presidential history?
