A Serendipitous Find: A Delightful Restaurant

🌈While wandering through Old San Juan, we happened to turn into a small alley lit with warm, golden lights. 💛The restaurant, El Refrán, had an unassuming storefront, and through the glass window, we could see it was packed with people. 🥨When we pushed the door open, the hostess, wearing an apron, was wiping glasses while calling out orders to the kitchen. 🥑Although only the mother and daughter were bustling about, they cleared tables at a steady pace. After placing our order, we waited about twenty minutes. The mojito arrived first, garnished with freshly picked mint leaves. The appetizer of fried plantain chips was evenly sliced and served with a flavorful garlic dip. 💛The main course, seafood rice, was generously portioned—the shrimp were springy, and the rice had absorbed the rich broth. 🧀The service was excellent! Delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere, and a perfect location. The prices were very affordable.
