Cathedral Square: A Great Place for a Walk

🌴Plaza de la Catedral: An open-air square in front of a large cathedral in the town, surrounded by places to eat and drink. A nice spot in San Juan to get photos of the cathedral—that’s about it. 📷This square (yes, another one) is right outside the cathedral and a great place to sit (if you can grab a seat) and relax before visiting the cathedral. There’s shade and stylish statues to look at. 🌊It’s part of the tour of the old town and an uphill walk from the cruise terminal, making it a great place to stop and catch your breath! ✅It’s right in front of the cathedral, next to El Convento Hotel, and very close to the isolated surviving city gate that allows passage through the city walls (murallas). Plenty of shade and cool breezes from below, but seating is very limited! 💗The square is just outside the cathedral, with a huge tree covering almost the entire area. It’s an ideal spot to escape the harsh sun and cool down. ✨There are also some small statues in the area, all with a modern design.
