A Spontaneous Evening at Tapes
We decided to walk in to Tapes for dinner on a whim. Located right in the city center of Tromsø, it's incredibly convenient. Since it was the weekend, we didn't have a reservation and ended up sitting at the bar. The atmosphere was fantastic, with great music playing. However, not all the staff spoke English, so we had to wait for someone who could understand our order. Tip: When ordering, make sure to specify "not too salty," especially for seafood dishes, as they can be quite salty otherwise. Highlights of the Meal: KONGEKRABBE (King Crab) 🦀 (p1) - 539 NOK Fresh and tender, with a delicious broth that makes it easy to extract the meat with a fork and knife. Every bite was satisfying! GRATINERTE KAMSKJELL (Scallops) 🦪 (p3) - 185 NOK The scallops were bouncy and very fresh, cooked to perfection. INDREFILET (Steak) 🥩 (p4) - 415 NOK We requested medium well, but it seemed quite rare. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding with the staff. REINSDYR TRIO (Reindeer Trio) 🦌 (p5) - 192 NOK A local specialty, the reindeer meat was an interesting experience. My friend enjoyed it with the accompanying biscuits, but I found it a bit too gamey. Bruschetta 🥪 - 62 NOK Their main dish is bread, which was quite aromatic. However, the portions here are quite small, so even with the bread, you might not feel very full. Restaurant Details: Name: Tapes Address: Stortorget 5, 9008 Tromsø Total for Two: 1452 NOK (approx. 505 RMB per person) Summary: Tapes offers a unique dining experience with a cozy atmosphere and a variety of dishes. While the portions are on the smaller side, the quality of the ingredients is undeniable. It's a great spot for seafood lovers and those looking to try local Norwegian specialties. Highly recommended for a memorable evening in Tromsø! 🥩🦀 #HiddenGem #Norway #TravelNorway #FoodShare #Travel #Seafood #FoodRecommendation #RestaurantRecommendation #Foodie #FoodReview #TravelDiary #MyRandomSnaps #Tromso #TromsoTravel #RestaurantHopping
