🌿 A Stroll Through the Gainesville Botanical Garden

Saturday is family day! 👨‍👧‍👦 I went with my dad to the botanical garden to spend some quality time with the little one. The garden is free and open to the public, which makes it a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. On that particular Saturday and Sunday (though by the time I’m posting this, it’s already last week’s news 😄), the garden hosted a small plant market 🌱🛍️ — one of the special events organized by the garden. The market was entirely dedicated to selling all kinds of plants, and it was so popular! Many American families came with little wagons just to load up on greens. I have to say — I was genuinely shocked by the prices 😅! Everything seemed so expensive. Maybe it’s because I’m not really into gardening, but a lot of the flowers just looked like the ones you’d see in roadside flower beds back home… 😂 Got me thinking — I should’ve appreciated those more when I had the chance! In the end, after some gentle persuasion from Roy 💬❤️, I “splurged” and bought two succulents 🌵💸. Fingers crossed I can keep them alive! 😆 Whether you're a plant lover, a family looking for a calm outing, or just want to enjoy some green beauty — the Gainesville Botanical Garden is a sweet little escape. #UniversityOfFlorida #LifeInTheUSA #StudyingInTheUS #InternationalStudentLife
