Saw a photo of doufunao (tofu pudding) on the map and rushed over thinking it might be hulatang — and wow, so glad I did! Everything here is made fresh to order: 🥞 Crispy sugar oil cakes — warm, slightly sweet, perfectly fried. 🥣 Wonton soup & savory tofu pudding — absolutely must-tries! 🌯 Jianbing (Chinese crepe) — huge portion, made with what looked like mung bean batter, loaded and delicious. 🐑 Lamb soup looked hearty too — next time! Even the chive boxes are made right when you order — no pre-fried stuff here. The chef, originally from Tianjin, works with such skill and speed ⚡ that everything comes out hot and fresh even faster than some dim sum we had yesterday.
