A Truly Authentic Ethiopian Experience! 🌍🍛
DC has quite a few Ethiopian restaurants – and they’re definitely worth trying! My first taste was during Passport DC at the Ethiopian Embassy 🏛️, and I was hooked by the unique flavors and delicious lamb and beef dishes. Later, I visited Eatopia Eatery, but this time – Family Ethiopian Restaurant felt even more authentic! 👨👩👧👦💫 🍽️ What We Ordered: • Dulet: A flavorful stir-fry made with lamb tripe, lean beef, onions, and spices – rich and aromatic, almost like a savory minced meat topping! 🐑🧅🔥 • Goden Tibs: Grilled meat – looked a bit plain and was slightly tough, but still tasty overall. 🥩👌 • The next table ordered traditional Ethiopian coffee – served with burning incense for a full cultural experience! ☕✨ 📌 Family Ethiopian Restaurant 1414 9th St NW, Washington, DC 20001 PS: Also saved the spot next door – Chercher Ethiopian Restaurant & Mart (1334 9th St NW)! 📍 PPS: Previously tried – Eatopia Eatery (1301 U St NW #111)! 🍴 #Foodie #JHUdc #DMVArea #DMV #JHUdcCampus #RestaurantWorthRepeating #EthiopianCuisine #CulturalEats #DCfoodExploration #AuthenticFlavors #LambDish #BeefStirFry #TraditionalCoffee #IncenseVibes #ComfortFood #GlobalEats #UStreetDC #FamilyRun #HiddenGem #ShareTheFeast
