A Visit to Michigan State Capitol in Lansing – Simply Stunning! 🌟
A Visit to Michigan State Capitol in Lansing – Simply Stunning! 🌟 Michigan State Capitol (Michigan State Capitol) My first stop of the morning was the Michigan State Capitol. I’d always mistakenly thought Ann Arbor was Michigan’s state capital—until I drove into Lansing… Talk about a surprise! 😂 That little mix-up added an extra hour to my drive, which made the rest of the day feel a bit rushed, but it turned out to be such a worthwhile detour. I joined a guided tour, and the over-one-hour experience was absolutely fantastic! What really impressed me was that they even used to have self-guided tour booklets in Chinese—super thoughtful for international visitors 📖. The Capitol itself is breathtakingly beautiful; I snapped so many photos I almost filled my phone’s storage! The highlight has to be the dome in the atrium—it’s so grand and intricately designed that I spent ages craning my neck and hunching my back just to get the perfect shot. Then I looked down and saw all the locals lying on the floor, gazing up and taking photos too—total “why didn’t I think of that?” moment! 🤣 It was such a fun, casual vibe that made the historic building feel warm and approachable. Parking tip: There’s street parking nearby—just remember to pay the parking fee yourself (no need to stress about finding a fancy lot)! 🚗 #NorthAmericanLife #NorthernMichigan #LakeMichiga
