South Carolina 🎞️ | Charleston Photo Spot Roundup 📸

It was my first time visiting Charleston, South Carolina—and it was so chill, with not too many tourists. I’ll definitely be back! 📸 The Battery Some roads were under construction when I went, but the oak trees were still beautiful! The adjacent Murray Boulevard feels so much like California 📸. You can also catch gorgeous ocean views there 🥰. 📸 Rainbow Row It’s a popular photo spot, but actually not that easy to take good pictures of 😐. Some angles look nice, but it doesn’t feel all that different from similar colorful streets elsewhere… 📸 Pineapple Fountain Another popular spot +1! I looked it up, and turns out pineapples here symbolize hospitality—not because the area grows pineapples (total letdown 🥹). 📸 Waterfront Park Pier Swinging while feeling the sea breeze was so cozy 🥰! Just watch out for birds and strangers, though. You can get a great shot of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge ! 📸 Isle of Palms There are wetlands here, plus white sand beaches 🏖️! The wind was way too strong, though, so I didn’t stay long. Next time, I’ll remember to bring my own chair! 📸 Harborside East (Near Charleston) I originally planned to drive near the USS Yorktown CV-10 to watch the sunset (since I was coming from Isle of Palms), but a big ship blocked the view 🥹. Still, the bridge made for a nice alternative backdrop! 📸 The Postal Museum As someone who loves postcards, I had to stop by. It’s tiny—just one room. I’d recommend the Postal Museum in D.C. instead. The post office next door didn’t have a special postmark (at least not on the cards I sent out 🤪). 🎑 Charleston City Market It’s like a handmade/artisanal version of Boston’s Quincy Market. The postcards here were pretty and cheap, but the back was blank 🥹, and the paper was a bit flimsy. 📸 Angel Oak Tree It’s a bit far—about a 30-minute drive from downtown. Personally, I think it’s worth the trip! The oak tree is huge and stunning 🥰. I just couldn’t capture its beauty well (blame my photography skills 😅). #NorthAmericaLife #USATravel #FredWSymmesChapel #StudyInUSA #Sunrise #SymmesChapelGuide #SeaOfCloudsAndSunrise
