π A Wonderful Evening at Trivoli Tavern! πΈβ¨
Trivoli Tavern did not disappoint! The night began with a slightly dirty martini β no vermouth, and served with blue cheese-stuffed olives π«π§. It was absolutely perfect! A vodka martini, shaken not stirred, equally memorable. Those olives alone are worth the visit! It was also such a joy to catch up with my good friend Bryan (a.k.a. Big Man), who flew in from Seattle for a work week. Sharing a hearty meal with a dear friend is always a special treat ππ¬. We started with: Fresh East Coast Oysters π¦ͺ β Chilled just right, clean and briny New England Clam Chowder π₯£ β Rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying For the main event: Fried Chicken Dinner π β Crispy, juicy, and served with velvety mashed potatoes and a super unique coleslaw β nothing like the ordinary stuff you find elsewhere! Chicken Pot Pie π₯§ β This was the real showstopper! I was stunned when I saw the bone with marrow right in the center β such a brilliant and unexpected touch! π« We ended with the Butterfinger Pie π«π₯§ β a glorious finish featuring chocolate, peanut butter, that signature crunch, and a heavenly meringue topping. The higher the meringue, the closer to God! ππ Every part of this meal was a delight. If you havenβt been to Trivoli Tavern yet β go! You wonβt regret it. #TrivoliTavern #ChicagoEats #MartiniLove #FriendReunion #FriedChicken #ChickenPotPie
