Adelaide’s Moroccan Hidden Gem | A Flavor Adventure!
📍 Marrakech Restaurant – Where North Africa meets South Australia 🍽️ First-Time Moroccan Food Experience (Confession: I thought Morocco = Monaco until the food arrived… oops!) 🔥 What We Tried 1️⃣ Melwi (Moroccan "Pizza") Surprise! Not garlic bread—more like a flaky, cheesy flatbread. Crunchy outside, doughy inside. Edible but not life-changing. 2️⃣ Afrah Tagine (Lamb + Honey + Prunes) 🌟 Tender lamb stewed with cinnamon, dates (not prunes?), almonds. Sweet-savory perfection—must-order! 3️⃣ Djaj Maassel (Chicken + Caramelized Apricots) Weird at first bite, but the honeyed apricots + crunchy nuts grew on us. Chicken slightly dry. 4️⃣ Saffron Rice Where’s the saffron? Tasted like plain Aussie rice. Skip. 5️⃣ Moroccan Panna Cotta Ice cream + fluffy marshmallow (slightly cloying). Pistachios saved it! 💰 Verdict No regrets! Unique flavors, especially the lamb tagine. Downsides: Tight seating, noisy, some staff accents tricky (or just me?). #AdelaideEats #MoroccanFood #TagineMagic
