Looking for a cute date night spot? STAYYYY AWAY from this restaurant. We arrived with no greeting and me and my partner were abandoned in the middle of the room waiting for staff which never arrived. After an awkward 2 minutes, we approached the bar (in the middle of the resturant) and said we had a booking which they had no clue of and we were told to sit wherever. We picked the only free table and sat waiting for our menus and glasses (8:00pm). After a good 10 minutes we got given tap water (which was $3) and some menus. We chose the 2nd banquet and got 2 mocktails. After they returned from the farm collecting the ingredients the drinks came out (10 minutes apart) and I instantly knew my strawberry mocktail was just raspberry Schweppes lol. The lemon mocktail is just a joke, you'll love it if you have terrible taste. After the underwhelming start we were so happy to be served 1 date each. Although surprisingly tasty, I didn't realize it takes 45 minutes to stuff a date. Next was our dipping plate which was a average entre. After we got the Bestella which honestly was the only good thing to come out of the kitchen. Another 20 minutes went by and we got Melwi or a in other words a toastie with some olives (2/10). Instantly we asked for a take away container for the toastie because it was so bad. After asking for a third time when got the chance in-between the staff arguing, and RUNNING around whilst being uncomfortable in the dull lit, poorly decorated restaurant we FINALLY got our mains (10:00pm). I didn't realize when you ordered food they could chose to forget half the meal and you still had to pay for it. After only receiving the meat and rice (no bread even thought it comes with bread) we hasty moved onto dessert as we were so fed up at this point. Lucky for us we weren't the only ones and another table had begun complaining about the time it took in between each dish. Telling us they only had one out of the three options for dessert sums up how good they are. If your unorganized, have never worked in hospitality before and love to argue with you fellow staff members in front of customer, this is the place for you!!! We declined to eat it and we got $20 off (wow so generous). We decided to try the tea because what else could go wrong and when it arrived so did the takeaway containers (yep the ones we asked for 40 minutes prior). Downing our tea and leaving with our bank account down $140 and toasite in hand we headed straight to Bakery on O'Connell to get something to eat. Was over-priced in every aspect. Staff were terrible, service was slow, drinks would rather go thirsty and food was average. In all honest, it could be a really nice restaurant it just seems to be run terribly, and the staff have their priorities wrong. Maybe try it if you wanna be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot going to deny that the food was delicious, all dishes were cooked to perfection and full of flavour. However, the service was the total opposite. It was unbelievably terrible. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We were seated and after waiting 5mins for the menu, I had to ask for it. We were only 2 people. Ordering also took very long. We ordered an entrĆØ, the dip platter, Couscous and a tagine dish. The dip platter came half an hour after ordering which was a ridiculous amount of time as it wasn't even a main. It shouldn't take that long as it's only dips and a small fried entrĆØ. When we finished the 2 dishes our waiter took the empty plates and we sat there waiting for our main. A group of 6 people came and were seated. The same waiter took their order right away and within 15mins of ordering they received their entrĆØ which also included the dip platter. That wasn't a problem. My partner fell asleep against the wall waiting for our main. During that time the waiter begun bringing out main dishes which included around 4 tagine dishes as well to that same table and I was shocked as they had came in half an hour after us. I woke up my partner to let him know and he had the same shocked reaction as me. I called the waiter over and asked her why we haven't received our main dish yet and that table had came after us and received all their dishes. Her reply was "I'm giving you guys a break between appetiser and main", seriously š¤¦āāļø. You had taken our appetisers half an hour ago and your giving us a break. I begun to laugh because what type of excuse is that? Why didn't you also give the other table a half an hour break between their appetiser and mains? The waiter which I'm guessing is Indian/South Asian was rude when I questioned her that and when she brought our main out she slammed it on the table. No apology no nothing. Also another table came in after us and right away she brought the menu for them. Such horrible service. All up, two appetiser and a main almost took almost 2 hours to eat. We came in at 7:20 and left 9:10. Although the food is great, we won't be back due to...

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were welcomed not just with warmth, but with a sense of tradition and pride that immediately set the tone for the evening. The ambiance was beautiful ā a perfect blend of authentic Moroccan charm and cozy elegance.
