Adventuring into the Mexican District 🗽 24-Hour Taco Heaven 🌮
Hey everyone! 👋 Good food knows no borders—even though I don’t speak a word of Español, I sure love tacos! 😍 And living in LA, they’re everywhere. One Tuesday night, my friend and I ventured into the heart of the Mexican district to try a famous, long-running 24-hour taco spot! 🌯🏘️ 🌮 The Original Carnitas Michoacan 📍 1901 N Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90031 💺 Indoor seating available I don’t recommend the $10.08/5-taco deal—because you can only pick one flavor, no mixing allowed. I ordered three tacos instead (with a 0.35 card fee), totaling 8.11: • Carnitas (mild pork) • Asada (slightly spicy beef) • Pastor (super spicy pork) 🌶️ There’s no self-serve topping bar—no cucumber slices or sauces included. You have to ask at the counter, and they give you toppings in small packets. Overall, the flavors felt super authentic, and the place was full of locals—always a good sign! 👍 Heads-up: the area gets pretty sketchy late at night—lots of unhoused people around the storefront. But once in a while, I enjoy a little adventure! 😅🌙 Have you ever tried a late-night taco spot that felt like a real adventure?
