🚢 Alaska Cruise Guide (Part 2)
The ships on this Alaska route are a bit older — I was on the Coral Princess. 🛳️ There aren’t many power outlets in the rooms, and the hairdryer is pretty low-powered. Definitely bring a large power bank! 🛏️ I booked an Ocean View room. Even though this type gets mixed reviews online, I actually liked it a lot! You can see the ocean right from your room 🌊. The only downside compared to a balcony room is that it’s not as easy to take cute photos inside. 🩱 What to wear: Definitely pack a swimsuit — there’s an indoor pool and it’s not cold 🏊♀️. Alaska is pretty rainy, so bring a raincoat or water-resistant jacket 🌧️. You don’t need the thickest down jacket this season. 🛜 Internet: I have Verizon, but the service was pretty weak in Alaska 😂. I mostly relied on the ship’s Wi-Fi. It was okay for scrolling through TikTok, but uploading videos was slow. 🎂 Plus Package: My package included 2 Premium Desserts per day… and honestly, they weren’t good ☹️. In my opinion, the Plus package is enough — no need to upgrade further. 🍴 Dining: There are two main complimentary dining options: The buffet on Deck 14 🍽️ The Bordeaux Restaurant on Deck 5 where you can order a la carte 🥂 There’s also an ice cream bar on Deck 14 and an International Café on Deck 7. Here are some dishes I tried onboard: 🗺️ Coral Princess Ship Layout: [You may insert a map or describe key areas here] 🌊 Tours: I didn’t book any tours through Princess — you can also book with local agencies or via apps. (Or just ask ChatGPT 😉) 🌟 Highly recommend booking a tour that gets you up close to a glacier! 🐻 Anchorage: Should you book a post-cruise tour on the last day? I really liked Portage Glacier — you can check my previous post for glacier options and tips! 🌟🌟 If possible, book a glacier hike or helicopter tour in Anchorage and consider staying an extra day. That said, downtown Anchorage itself doesn’t have much to do. A often-recommended spot is Glacier Brewhouse — but I thought it was terrible!! 💣 ✈️ Anchorage airport is fairly small, so no need to worry if you’re short on time. #AlaskaCruise #AlaskaTravel #Glaciers #TravelTheWorld #TheEndOfTheWorldIsIceAndOcean #Vancouver #PrincessCruises #USA #USATravel #Anchorage
