Anchorage feels more like a "gateway" to exploring Alaska🚪 — behind it lie dog sledding, glacier hikes, and so many adventures. Taking notes for a future family trip to check them all off! 🚶 Walking Route Highlights 🛒 Souvenir Central: 4th Avenue is lined with unique souvenir shops — great for gifts. 🏛️ Visitor Center: At the intersection of F St & 4th Ave — packed with info and offers two free postcards📮! 🌭 Street Eats: Try the Reindeer Sausage Hot Dog from food carts, and don’t miss the local Halibut Fish & Chips 🐟🍟 ⚠️ Tips & Notes 👥 Streets are quiet; a trolley connects major attractions. 🚨 Homeless presence is noticeable, with occasional erratic behavior — best to walk in groups during the day and stay aware. 🌄 City Vibe Calm, spacious, with that northern blend of ruggedness and freedom.
