Eating in Alaska😋 | Anchorage & Fairbanks Food Review

Just back from Alaska — sharing real food experiences to help you pick wisely! 📍 Anchorage 1️⃣ Inferno Seafood Boil 🦀 Recommended! Ordered snow crab, shrimp, corn, sausage & garlic noodles for two. Sauce: Workz (medium spice) — garlicky buttery, mild heat. 🍜 Garlic noodles are soy-garlic fried pasta, tasty! 💡 Note: I prefer Boiling Crab’s signature sauce (lighter), this one is richer. 2️⃣ Glacier Brewhouse 🦑 Simply the Best Calamari: Thick, tender fried squid with spicy lemon sauce — so good we ate the fried peppers too🥺 🍖 BBQ Baby Pork Rib: Sweet BBQ sauce, tender meat (6 ribs), great with cornbread! 🍝 Fettuccine Jambalaya: Slight letdown💣 Expected tomato-spicy, got creamy + smoky/cumin flavor — heavy after few bites. 3️⃣ Snow City Cafe 🍳 Kodiak (Crab Benedict): Crab patty too starchy, not fresh. Not as good as Breakfast Republic’s version (with blueberry jam — my favorite!). 🥘 Pork Carnita Hash Bowl: Just pork & potatoes, okay but not special. ✨ Cute décor, average food. 📍 Fairbanks 1️⃣ Chowder House 🦀 Crab Roll: Crab sandwich, crispy bread but lacking flavor — better versions in Seattle/CA. 🍤 Butter Shrimp: Better than the roll! Buttery broth + bread = comforting. 2️⃣ Thai House 🍍 Pineapple Fried Rice & Chicken Skewers: Tasty picks! 🍜 Drunken Noodle: Way too sweet💥 Skip it! 3️⃣ Aurora Crepes & Peking Duck 🦆 Jianbing (Chinese crepe): Average, Peking duck flavor is slightly better. 4️⃣ Lemongrass 🍛 Curry & Drunken Noodles: Small portions, noodles a bit hard, flavor okay but not memorable. 💡 Alaska Food Tips: ✅ Ask for "less oil/cream" in sauces for seafood ✅ Book popular spots ahead to avoid waits ✅ Lower expectations for Asian food in Fairbanks #Alaska #AnchorageEats #Fairbanks #FoodReview #TravelTips #FoodieGuide
