Albany EP1.|TapAsia Asian Tapas
🌳A Thai-Style Eatery in Albany Tucked away in a semi-basement along the street in downtown Albany, this small Thai eatery boasts a clean, neat space with a pleasant ambiance.🥩🥩 🥗 Green Papaya Salad🍊 We ordered it with medium spicy, but it was already quite hot—an intense, soul-stirring spiciness similar to Sriracha hot sauce. 🍔 The shredded papaya was crispy and had no sourness, making it a perfect appetizer. 🍜 Pad Thai (Thai Stir-Fried Rice Noodles) Authentic Thai Pad Thai uses thin noodles, not the wide rice noodles we usually imagine, and its flavor is also different from what we expect from stir-fried noodles. 🍝 The noodles 🍜🍜turned out quite sticky, and the taste was similar to sweet and sour pork tenderloin 😮💨. It’s actually delicious if you don’t hold onto the stereotypical idea of stir-fried noodles. 🍲 Tom Yum Goong (Thai Hot and Sour Seafood Soup)🐵 The soup was slightly sweet. It had enough spiciness but lacked tartness, and the distinctive Tom Yum flavor wasn’t very strong. However, it was generously loaded with seafood: three large shrimp, one scallop, and one mussel. The bowl also included rice noodles, so it’s filling enough for one person to eat as a full meal.🍐🎼 Three girls spent a total of $60 (before tip). The service was lukewarm—no faults to pick, but no standout strengths either 💆. Address: 227 Lark St 1101, Albany, NY 12210😊😊 #AlbanyFood #Albany #NewYorkState
