šŸ£ All-You-Can-Eat Japanese Food Review! šŸ±

Just two weeks into NU’s new semester, I visited Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi Bar in downtown Evanston to try their all-you-can-eat menu—here’s my experience! šŸ“Œ The Vibe Perfect for group hangouts! You can try almost everything in one go: • 20 types of sashimi 🐟 • 40 specialty sushi rolls šŸ£ • Dozens of ramen options šŸœ • Plus lots of snacks and sides šŸ¢ Basically, everything you’d find at a classic sushi spot is here—great value, and you can tell they put care into their sushi! šŸ’– āļø Rating: 4/5 Stars šŸ½ļø The Food So many choices! Focus on sashimi (also available as nigiri) and specialty rolls. Whether you like raw or cooked food, there’s something for everyone. Highlights: • Tuna Sashimi: Thick-cut and super fresh 🐠 • Madai (White Fish): Sweet flavor enhanced with scallions 🌿 • Salmon Lover Roll: A must for salmon fans! šŸ„ • Dragon Roll: A classic that never disappoints šŸ‰ Sushi comes served on a huge boat platter—so Instagram-worthy! šŸ“ø For appetizers, loved the Sashimi Salad—light and refreshing. Most small plates go great with drinks. Even when full, we tried the Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen—surprisingly delicious! The chashu was uniquely sweet (my Shanghainese friend adored it!). A full bowl is perfect for a solo meal. šŸ® Ambience Spacious dining area with plenty of room between tables—never felt crowded. No private booths, but it’s open and comfortable. Saw a big group celebrating a birthday—great for gatherings! šŸ‘„ Service The AYCE menu runs daily from 3:00–8:15 PM (2-hour limit). Just tell the server you want the buffet—they’ll give you a checklist menu (see P6) to mark your choices. Super convenient if you like variety but hate ordering one-by-one! They kindly remind you about last orders before closing—thoughtful touch. šŸ’” Fun fact: The place stays open late (Ć  la carte menu after AYCE hours)—perfect for late-night eats! šŸ•› Will definitely go back to try that. šŸ’° Price: $31.95 per person for AYCE (same price every day) Have you been to Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi Bar?
